Nicholas Compton joined the Office of the Federal Public Defender in 2009.  Prior to joining the office, Nick served on active duty from 2003 to 2009 in the United States Army’s Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps attaining the rank of Captain.  As a JAG officer, Nick was deployed overseas from 2005 to 2006 with the 17th Field Artillery Brigade in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He currently serves as an Assistant Federal Public Defender and Third-Level Supervisor in our Martinsburg branch office.
